Community Choir $500 scholarships were presented to high school seniors, Hannah Burmahl and Jack Scherer, who will be pursuing degrees in music education. This was made possible through the generous gifts of the members of the Community Choir and other supportive members of the community and the GIFT foundation.
Choral Awards Night for 7th, 8th, and High School students is Thursday, May 17th. The event is in the HS Auditorium and begins at 6:30pm. Please dress nicely, no jeans. 8th graders, you are asked to bring 2 dozen cookies for the reception in the cafeteria following. Looking forward to a great night of recognizing your many talents and hard work!!
The Concert is in the High School Gym and starts at 7:00pm. Students must check in with an officer by 6:45pm and then be seated in the bleachers. Uniform is black bottom, white top, nice dress shoes.

7th & 8th Graders – As you’re working on your compositions, please keep the following in mind in order for great success!!
1. Must have at least 16 measures
2. Must have a clear beginning, middle, and end
3. Your finished product must be very neat and easy to read
4. Your composition must be yours; creative, original, YOU!

This Assessment Schedule below begins next week, March 19 and will run through the end of the school year. We will be working on theory and compositions during these assessments. The schedule for the theory topics is below. For the composition aspect, come knowing what you want to compose for (voice or instrument).
