Jeff McAvoy

Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Jeff McAvoy.  I grew up in Geneseo and graduated from GHS in 1986.  I went to Illinois State University (GO REDBIRDS!) in 1990 and taught in Sycamore, Illinois at Sycamore Junior High for 10 years.  I went to Northern Illinois University and earned a Masters in Educational Administration in 1995.

In 2000, I became a stay at home dad… and stayed one for 9 years.  I am very excited about teaching again and I have a lot of fun activities planned while we learn about the greatest country on the face of the Earth.

If your kids come home with ink stained hands, smelling of salt port, and telling you stories of some of the strangest happenings in regard to the good old USA… then they are doing their job!
