Wednesday May 13
The weather was beautiful for our field trip! I hope you learned a lot and are ready to write in your book and journal about your day at West Branch, Iowa.

Monday May 11
Tomorrow we will travel to West Branch, Iowa to visit the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library. Remember how important it is to be on our best behavior both on the bus and in the library and surrounding grounds. Get a good night’s sleep and be ready for a great day.

Sunday May 10
I hope you’re having a great weekend. Here are more great posters!
Earth Day April 22
HAPPY EARTH DAY !!! Do something at home to commemorate the day: pick up litter, conserve electricity and water, recycle plastic, glass, aluminum, and cardboard. And top it off with a chorus of My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean using the new words for Earth Day!
Check out the neat posters on the bulletin board.

Wednesday April 15
Our beans are really taking off. They’re growing like . . . beans!! Do you think the cotyledons being removed will affect them?
Get ready for our science olympiad events! You’ve signed up for the events you want to participate in, so let the games begin!
Wednesday April 1
I hope you had a chance to check the stock prices of the companies we “bought”. All of them went up! That means our investment is worth more money!! Wow! How easy was that? Keep watching the stock market and you’ll be no April Fool!

Thursday March 26
I collected the best grown cotyledons and whole seeds from our experiment and took a picture. Do you recognize yours?

Wednesday, March 25
We have finished our seed part experiment and are getting ready to grow beans. What do you think will happen if we remove the cotyledon from a growing embryo?

Wednesday, March 11
I have two questions about today’s science. Why does a piece of paper fall more slowly when it is flat than when it is crumpled? If I have a bottle of water and turn it completely upside down, will the water pour out? Explain why or why not.
